Track Two:
She’s Coming Home To You
(10th March, 2005)
Verse One:
Through forested hills of evergreen trees,
A softly spoke cry just floats on the breeze,
Sweeping through valleys, to cities of steel,
Where a soft-spoken driver just sits at the wheel.
Verse Two:
He can’t hear the cry, it passes him by,
He never considers the radiant sky,
Its beauty is bypassed, its wonders ignored,
And all of his life, he claims that he’s bored.
Chorus:
But if you’ve never seen the beauty
Of the early morning sunrise,
How can you know the wonder
Lighting up the eastern skies?
It’s the dream of a moment, so pure, so true,
It’s the time you just know, that she’s coming
home to you.
Verse Three:
In sky scraping towers, folk fixed to their desks,
And that’s where they’ll be, ‘til the day of their
rest.
They chat and they work, they work and they
chat,
It’s all that they know, they’re contented with
that.
Verse Four:
It must have escaped them, that thing we call love,
Skipping right by them, onto heaven above,
Alone in a world, that cares not for them,
Disconsolate ladies, and lonely old men.
Chorus
Breakdown:
Well I’ve seen the world’s great cities,
I’ve travelled the sky so blue,
But nothing quite compares,
To the dreams I dream of you.
Verse Five:
On roads and on highways, folk pedal their trade,
To little known places, to a fate still unmade,
Arriving in darkness, in darkness they leave,
Behind them a past, they scarcely believe.
Verse Six:
My dream of a future, together as one,
Is slipping by quickly, it’s lost in the sun,
Which blinds me here daily, I never know why,
Til I think of the girl, without whom I’ll die.
Chorus x2
Finish:
When will be the time, she’ll come on home to
you?
Track One:
Tulula From Shibuya
(18th November, 2004)
Verse One:
She walks through the crowds
Like she don’t care,
Everybody thinks that she’s walking on
air.
She’s Tulula, she’s Tulula.
She makes all the boys turn
And admire her grace,
Everyone thinks she’s got a beautiful face.
That Tulula, she’s Tulula.
Chorus:
In the land of Japan, there’s only one girl
Who’s got what it takes, to take on the
world.
Her name’s Tulula, she’s from Shibuya.
Yes it’s Tulula, she’s from Shibuya.
Verse Two:
She’s got all the clothes,
The fashionable hair,
No one can miss her obvious flair,
It’s Tulula, my Tulula.
I never did see
Such a wonderful girl,
My heart skips a beat when she gives me
a whirl.
Oh Tulula, she’s Tulula.
Chorus
Verse Three:
But my Tulula is gone,
Oh where did she go?
I’ve looked and I’ve looked, but nobody
knows.
I cry in my sleep
And into my dreams
The pain now she’s gone, is too much it
seems.
Oh Tulula, my Tulula.
I miss Tulula, oh my Tulula.
Chorus
Finish:
Oh my Tulula
They barely knew ya
Oh my Tulula
What’d I do to ya?
Just come back Tulula.
I’ll be waiting for you,
In Shibuya.

Track Four:
From That Day On
(11th March, 2005)
Verse one:
Once upon a moonlit spring
When my life was wandering
I met a girl whose beauty was
So far beyond compare.
She came into my life one day
Melancholy blown away
Fighting with the powerful urge
To gaze and gape and stare.
When this girl first spoke to me
Forgotten what it was to be
So taken with a girl who had
Just waltzed into my life.
She had the most amazing grace
A smile always upon her face
I even dared to think that she
Could one day be my wife.
Chorus:
But there was no way of
knowing
Where our lives were going
Still I knew she was the only one
I’d love from that day on.
Verse Two:
On chilly grey March mornings
I knew my love was dawning
Mem’ries of forgotten loves
Came into my mind.
I thought back to my younger
days,
Love for a girl became a blaze
And never did I ever think
Another girl I’d find.
But here she was a wondrous
girl
And love’s wings they did unfurl
Sending me aloft into
The azure sky so blue.
And when I lay down to sleep
Dreams of her inward did creep
And constantly I asked myself
What was I supposed to do.
Chorus
Verse Three:
Now in a far and foreign land
Knowing she is close at hand
Constant dreaming of the girl
To whom I’d lost my heart.
I could never say to her,
My love for her does still endure
Knowing from her present beau
She’ll never part.
Still I hang on every word
Every sound I’d ever heard
Everything she said to me
I treasure it all dear.
And what the shining future
holds
A chap like me will never know,
I just hope that I will be
To my sweet girl so near.
Chorus x2
Finish:
Yes I know she is the only one
I’ll love from this day on.
Track Three:
The Friends You Have
(10th-11th March, 2005)
Verse One:
If I’ve told you once,
I’ve told you a thousand times
before,
There’s no way of knowing,
What lies behind the door.
Till you find the strength
And open up that unknown
behind,
See for your own self
The fear that makes you blind.
Verse Two:
It’s a pain beneath your skin
Searing deep into your soul,
It’s the question you can’t ask
That divides you from your goal.
There’s never easy answers,
There’s toil and work and strife,
Til the final sunset lords over
Your tired and wasted life.
Chorus:
It ain’t about the clothes you
wear,
Nor the place that you call home,

It’s all about the friends you
have
Who stop you being alone.
Verse Three:
When sorrow’s all about you,
And you feel the sadness come,
All you need’s a kindly word
From an old and trusted chum.
If there’s any doubting
In your mind, let it go past,
The truest friends remain with
you,
They’re always standing fast.
Chorus
Verse Four:
To the end of it all
They’re standing firm by you,
Friends get you through the bad
times
They stop you feeling blue.
Return the favour with a smile
That seems to be just fair,
Take time out for your friends
Let them know you care.
Chorus
Finish x2
Yes it’s all about the friends you
have,
Thanks to them you’re not
alone.

Track Five:
It’s Japan
(15th March, 2005)
Verse One:
Now I’m going to tell you ‘bout a faraway land,
It lies in the east, its name is Japan,
Lots of strange things always going on here,
But don’t you dare worry, there’s nothing to fear - well, most of the time I think.
Chorus:
It’s Japan, it’s Japan,
It’s Japan, it’s Japan,
It’s Japan, it’s Japan,
Oh, it’s Japan! (It’s Japan, it’s Japan)
Verse Two:
They got all kinds of convenient stores,
Vending machines selling used women’s draws,
Pachinko parlours and slot machines,
All kinds of weird things happening behind the scenes - best not to ask I guess.
Chorus:
Verse Three:
Cherry blossom viewing is fun in the spring,
Little bit cold, no central heating,
Wrap up warm, under your kotatsu,
Be real careful not to catch the influ - enza that is.
Chorus:
Verse Four:
Shinkansen flying through many mountains,
Must sort out all your recycling,
Burnable, non-burnable, bottles and cans,
All fits into someone’s master plan - or so I’m told.
Chorus:
Verse Five:
The ground is shaking, another earthquake,
Dare I eat another sickly sweet cake?
Choco melon pan is a personal vice,
Can’t help it though, they’re just too darn nice - mm, I’m hungry now.
Chorus:
Verse Six:
Hanabi, matsuri, summer is great,
Ocha, beeru should your thirstyness sate,
Pretty darn warm, turn the AC on high,
Tell all them roaches, it’s time to die - nothing personal chaps.
Chorus:
Verse Seven:
Odawara, Ebina, Yokohama too,
Lots of cool places, plenty to do,
In the pleasantness of Kanagawa-ken,
We’ll hope you’ll enjoy all the military men - anyone fancy a round?
Chorus:
Verse Eight:
Karaoke, busking, everyone’s a star,
Not sure if any of them will go far,
Still it’s always a laugh, when you get up and sing,
If you’ve drunken enough, you won’t remember a thing - kanpai everyone!
Chorus x2 to finish
