| PIRATES OF THE VINAWALK ‘The Curse of the Black Coffee’ By Christopher P Bartlett Part One: Something Nefarious Afoot 1. INTRODUCTION FADE IN: NARRATOR TWO Prologue. In which the narrator will narrate something. We hear a hushed silence, frightening in its quietness. Perhaps a few grating notes are heard faintly in the background. After a moment, we hear the deep booming voice of NARRATOR ONE Legend speaks of a curse so deadly, it’s name is only ever spoken in a whisper. So I should drop to a whisper too. But I like my deep, booming voice and I’m not afraid of some little curse. This curse is the terrible, awful, death inducing (pause) Curse of the Black Coffee (pause) A curse so terrible, that…Aaagghhh. At which point NARRATOR ONE drops dead. A hushed silence descends for a moment before the whispering tones of NARRATOR TWO take over. NARRATOR TWO Yes, a curse so terrible, that its reach extends to all the corners of the earth. Including a colourful place in suburban Japan - The Vinawalk, where a couple of pirates are going about their pirating business. The sound of a crowded shopping centre can be heard as we CUT TO: |
